The Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society has recognized academic excellence in the two-year college since 1918 and has become the largest and one of the most prestigious honor societies in higher education. More than 1.2 million members have been inducted at 1,200 colleges in the United States, Canada, U.S. territorial possessions and military installations abroad.
To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a regionally accredited institution offering an associate degree program; you must have completed 15 hours of coursework with a grade point average of 3.5. The organization offers a myriad of opportunities for scholarships, intellectual enrichment and personal development through programs based on Phi Theta Kappa's four hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship.
Phi Theta Kappa makes available $36 million in transfer scholarships to Phi Theta Kappa members annually.
