Fall 2012 VA Processing Notice:
The AACC Financial Aid Office will begin submitting all Fall 2012 certification forms on July 1, 2012.
STEP 1 - Renew Your Benefits or Apply for New Benefits with AACC
To apply for new benefits or to renew your benefits for each semester,
ALL applicants must:
STEP 2 - Make an Initial Application to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs
If you are Veteran and have never used your benefits before, complete both of these steps:
If you are a Survivor or Dependent, and you have never used your benefits before, you must:
STEP 3 - Change Your Program Goal or Place of Training
If you have used your VA Education Benefits before at a different school or you need to change the degree or certificate goal you listed with the VA, you must complete a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training form.
*VA Vocational Rehabilitation Students (Chapter 31) must apply through their local Veterans Affairs Office.

The Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. Anne Arundel Community College will contribute 50% while VA will match the amount to cover additional out of state expenses.

Veterans Of The Afghanistan And Iraq Conflicts Scholarship Program
If you or a family member served at least 60 days of U.S. military service in Iraq or Afghanistan, make sure you check out the Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan Scholarship.
