School of Arts & Sciences - Art

The Visual Arts Department is currently accpeting part-time faculty applicants to teach during the summer and/or fall 2013 semesters for the following:

 

  • Web Designer
  • Art History

  Web Designer/Developer-

Qualifications: Master's or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years demonstrated professional experience, and a professional portfolio link to original web design work (with links to live sites)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • demonstrate understanding and use of the most recent HTML5/CSS3 specifications
  • an understanding of accessibility from design standpoint (proper use of CSS, color, layout-No tables, etc.)
  • hand-coding sites using HTML/CSS with a text editor
  • create dymanic design comps using Photoshop and/or Fireworks 
  • build static sites fromt the ground up using industry standard WYSIWYG editors like Dreamweaver, etc.
  • staging sites on an FTP server
