AACC is home to a vibrant and competitive intercollegiate athletics program. As a member of the Maryland Junior College Athletic Association (MD JUCO) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), AACC encourages and promotes outstanding athletic programs, sportsmanship, challenging academics and the opportunity for student athletes to transfer into four-year institutions.

In order to be eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics, a student shall meet the minimum requirements of the National Junior College Athletic Association and Anne Arundel Community College.
Congratulations to our women’s cross country team for a ninth place finish at the NJCAA National Championship hosted by Holyoke CC on Nov. 9, 2013 at the Northfield Mountain Recreation Center, Northfield, Mass.
Mackenzie Fitzgerald led the way by running the extremely difficult 5K course in 21:22, placing 13th, and winning All-American honors- the first Pioneer since 2000 to accomplish this feat!
