Father fastening child seat

Motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 14 and under. Child safety seats and safety belts, when correctly installed and used, can prevent injury and save lives. Unrestrained children are more likely to be injured, to suffer more severe injuries and to die in motor vehicle crashes than children who are restrained.

Anne Arundel Community College Department of Public Safety & Police Child Passenger Safety Technicians are certified through Safe Kids Worldwide and are currently limited to performing child safety seat inspections to employees of the College.

For members of the community, MD Kids in Safety Seats (MD KISS) provides car seat check up events around Maryland by appointment. See below for a list of upcoming events in Anne Arundel County.  Check the events calendar for events in other Maryland counties.

For additional options, you can "Find a Technician" to inspect your carseat at the Safe Kids Worldwide website.
