ACH-121 Construction Technology 1

Examine the built environment through exploration of basic materials and methods used in construction. Apply environmental factors from site analysis to general design principles. Evaluate structural theory, wood frame construction methods, thermal and moisture protection, fenestration and interior finishes commonly used in building design. Create construction details of connections commonly used to join materials in residential construction. Lab fee $40. Corequisite: ACH 111 or permission of the department chair.
