Anne Arundel Community College’s new Cyber Technology certificate program combines rigorous academic training with hands-on projects with workplace-readiness skills, and the opportunity to sit for industry certification exams. The program is offered in a compressed time-frame, allowing students to complete the required 30-credits in as little as one year.
The Cyber Technology certificate program was created through a collaboration between five member colleges of the National STEM Consortium with funding from a U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career training (TAACCCT) grant. This program was created and launched at Anne Arundel Community College in response to regional industry needs with input from Cyber industry leaders and employers.
The Cyber Technology certificate program, under the National STEM Consortium grant, requires additional application materials and a screening of all applicants for certain eligibility criteria.
Participants need no previous computer experience and will be prepared for entry-level jobs in Customer Service and Technical Support.
Participants must commit to take all classes together in a cohort for the entire year and are eligible for enhanced student support services.
Our required courses are offered once per cohort, and students must receive a “C” grade or better in all courses in order to maintain their eligibility in the program.
