Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Series
Prepare for an entry-level position in the electrical field in just four months with industry certified training through Anne Arundel Community College.
JOB OUTLOOK
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the demand for electrical jobs looks very good over the next decade. The average wage and salary for electricians is nearly $21 per hour, and apprentices usually start at half that rate.
TRAINING OVERVIEW
Offered in partnership with Independent Electrical Contractors, AACC's electrical pre-apprenticeship training program consists of five, 40-hour noncredit courses that must be taken in the same term. Classes are held five days a week.
AWARD
Upon successful completion, students will receive continuing education units.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
Students must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or have passed the GED exam and be able to perform manual labor.
WHAT COURSES WILL I TAKE?
Students must enroll in all five noncredit courses at the same time.
