Responsible for the delivery of the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course content.
Monitors and remediates written test. Remediating involves assisting and providing support to participants while they complete the written test.
Evaluates each participant on all required course criteria using the most current evaluation tools provided by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Evaluates and remediates performance and identifies participants who meet standards apropriate to perform Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Indicates successful completion of course requirements by issuing the appropriate information for American Heart Association (AHA) card.
Maintains student records and all required documents mandated by American Heart Association (AHA).
Follows appropriate instructions for the disinfection of reusable equipment following each class. Monitors levels of supplies and informs appropriate personnel.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Must have at least 1 year of teaching experience as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must be a health care professional whose job requires that he/she respond and provide resuscitative effort (Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
