Flexible Spending Accounts 
Employee's may elect to establish a Medical Reimbursement Account and/or a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account to pay for eligible expenses with income that is not taxable. Administration of this account is governed by Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Tax Shelter Annuities 
Because this is an educational institution, it is possible for employees to shelter a portion of their salary. There are several companies from which to choose. Tax laws govern enrollment and administration of the plans.

State Employees Credit Union 
Employees and family members may join at any time. In addition to free savings and checking accounts, a variety of loans are available.

Group Banking Program  
Employees who have or open a checking account with Bank of America can receive a wide variety of special banking benefits through the Bank of America at Work program including free checking with direct deposit; savings on mortgages, home equity lines, installment loans, credit and student loans; special rates on IRA’s and CD’s; and free online banking.

Employee Assistance Program  
Employees and/or their immediate family members are eligible for up to four free, confidential sessions with a licensed mental health professional each year.

Tuition Waivers  
Regular full-time employees, their spouses and dependent children may enroll in credit and some non-credit courses without tuition payment; regular part-time employees, their spouses and dependent children may enroll in credit and some non-credit courses at 50% tuition payment. Fees are charged.

Tuition Reimbursement  
Regular full-time employees are eligible to apply for up to $2,500 reimbursement per fiscal year for pre-approved job relevant courses; if funds are available, regular part-time employees are eligible to apply for up to 50% of the fiscal year allotment for pre-approved job relevant courses.

Annual Leave 
Administrators earn 22 days per year; professional staff earn 15 days through the first five years, 22 days thereafter; support staff earn 12 days through the first two years, 15 days through the ninth year and 22 days thereafter. Annual leave is pro-rated for regular part-time employees.

Sick Leave  
Administrators, professionals and support staff earn 15 days sick leave per year. Ten-month faculty earn 10 days sick leave per year; twelve-month faculty earn 12 days sick leave per year. Sick leave is pro-rated for regular part-time employees.
