Emergency Medical Technician Admissions
The first step to admission is to attend an orientation seminar. These informal seminars discuss admission and academic requirements, the application and selection process, and curriculum and career opportunities. Call 410-777-7318 for orientation dates and times.
Please note: First consideration for selection will be given to candidates whose resident address is in Anne Arundel County for at least three months prior to the application deadline. This is verified by completing the Address Verification for Health Professions Form, which must be completed and submitted to the college Records office as part of the application process. Applicants will receive the Address Verification for Health Professions Form once their application is reviewed. For questions concerning address verification, please call 410-777-2721.
Program Requirements
In addition to submitting a completed application by the program deadline, applicants must also have the following:
English 111 Eligibility
Arithmetic: Students must demonstrate proficiency in arithmetic by achieving a score of 27 or better on the Arithmetic Placement Test by the application deadline.
Application Deadlines
Applications for the spring EMT-Paramedic class will be available June 2012 in Florestano 306. The application deadline will be September 15, 2012.
Applications for the fall 2012 EMT-Intermediate class are available onlinePDF and in Florestano 306. The application deadline is March 15, 2012. If application deadline falls on a weekend, then applications will be accepted until the close of business on the next business day.
Please note: A copy of your driver's license or other government issued photo id must be submitted with your EMT program application.
