Drafting/CAD Programs

The college offers a Certificate and a Letter of Recognition in the field of computer-aided designing and drafting technology.

Certificate in Computer-Aided Designing and Drafting Technology 

  • A minimum of 15 credit hours
  • Occupational Goals: Entry position as CAD operator, Job advancement, Retraining
  • Purpose: Prepares students for initial employment in computer-aided mechanical design and drafting. It also provides job advancement skills for persons currently in manual drafting jobs.

Letter of Recognition in Computer-Aided Design: AutoCAD

  • Nine credit hours
  • Purpose: For students interested in working as a technician requiring computer-aided design skills. Basic computer competency is required for entry into the area of study. This award is Workforce Investment Act eligible.
