Our computer-aided drafting courses prepare students, in part, for the following certification exams:

Autodesk AutoCAD® Certified User Credential

The Autodesk AutoCAD® Certified User Exam includes multiple-choice and performance-based questions. Following are some examples of software aspects covered in the exam:

  • Creating, organizing, annotating, and plotting drawings;
  • Manipulating, altering, and hatching objects;
  • Working with layouts;
  • Dimensioning;
  • Working with reusable content; and
  • Creating additional drawing objects.

Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) Credential

The SolidWorks Associate Level Certification exam recognizes the student's competency in 3D CAD modeling technology and the application of engineering principles.

The challenges on this exam feature, but are not limited to, these areas:

  • Sketch entities, tools, & relations 0 lines, rectangles, circles, arcs, ellipses, centerlines;
  • Boss and cut features;
  • Fillets and chamfers;
  • Linear, circular, and fill patterns;
  • Dimensions;
  • Mass properties;
  • Materials;
  • Standard mates;
  • Reference geometry;
  • Drawing views; and
  • Annotations.
