Electro-Mechanical Certificate

This certificate is just 6 courses

and can be earned in two semesters!

Award: Certificate (code CRT.EGR.ELEC-MECH)

Total Credit Hours: 24 credit hours

Purpose: Many modern products and systems contain both electronic and mechanical parts, such as copiers, cars and factory assembly lines. Electromechanical technicians are knowledgeable in the basic principles of electronics and mechanics so that they can understand and work on this equipment. This program allows students who are interested in these topics to prepare for employment as an electromechanical technician. In just six courses, the program covers basic electrical principles, electronic hardware, basic mechanics and mechanical computations, mechanical drawing (with an introduction to CAD) and electromechanical topics such as motors, sensors and feedback systems. All credits earned in this certificate will apply towards the Electronics A.A.S. degree program (click on Electronics degree program link on the right.

Range of Occupations:  Electromechanical technician,  Engineering technician,

Graduation Requirements: Demonstrated eligibility for ENG 111. A minimum of two terms is needed to complete the option.
