The Department of English and Communications is pleased to announced that Mallory Gill has won the first annual Marjorie Flack Creative Writing Award with her submission "One Week in April."  Mallory received $250 and her work will be included in the next publishing of Amaranth.  "Beric's Quest," by Heidi Lugmayer, and "Katie and the Magma Monsters," by Tam Mayeshiba, received second and third mention respectively.
