Although I just received my business license in August 2006, I have been serving my local church and surrounding neighborhood for the last six years in various capacities as a caterer. My successful event list includes multiple children’s programs, church and pastoral anniversaries with guest’s attendance ranging up to 150 people, and several neighborhood rallies servicing the community with as many as 100 participants. Picnics and barbeques for my local church and district division are also some of the many affairs I have had the gracious opportunity to service.

Since my tender and formative years underneath my Grandmother’s guidance, I have always had a passion for food preparation and service. The positions I have been blessed with range from prep cook and culinary specialist in the back of the house, to hostess, staff training coordinator, and event specialist for the front of the house. The spectrum of companies I have worked for range from Mrs. Field Bakery to BET on Jazz Restaurant. 

My client list includes such occasions as birthday parties for children and adults, christenings, baptisms, memorials services and repasts, and graduation parties. Weddings and bridal showers round out the experience that can be credited to Divine Desserts and Catering. As with any new venture, a strategic alliance is crucial. Having forged a professional repertoire with Street Source Entertainment, my client base expands. Utilizing the old-fashioned baking rules I grew up on, I have honored my customers with event specific cakes, desserts, platters and dishes that have received excellent reviews.

My professional experience has afforded me the opportunity to work in a variety of positions where my creative talents as a chef and personable attributes in the service realm are called upon frequently. After being in the forefront and backdrop for the success or downfall of other entrepreneurial ventures, I decided to begin my own. Using this experience--coupled with my passion, drive and talent--I created Divine Desserts and Catering, a small business that has your goals and needs in mind.
