Dr. Daryl W. Gonder
Associate Professor of Film Study and English
Personal Information:
Dr. Gonder created Anne Arundel Community College’s film aesthetics courses, as well as the Film Study Option in Fine Arts and the Letter of Recognition in Film Analysis. His responsibilities are divided between the Visual Arts Department where he teaches Film Study courses and advises Film Study majors, and the English Department where he has been teaching English 121 online. Modernism and Postmodernism in cinema and drama, in particular the narrative presence of structures of absence and the symbiotic relationship of media and culture are several personal interests. He has served in recent years as President of The Faculty Organization and as Chair of the AACC Academic Forum and Academic Council.
He is married and has two children.
