Welcome to First2College

First2College is an educational talent search program that strives to help county middle and high school students, who may be economically or educationally challenged, improve their chances of obtaining a postsecondary education.

Our goal is to provide resources that will enhance individual academic success, career awareness and personal growth. First2College offers programming for 6-12th grade students and individuals who may have suspended their pursuit of a high school or postsecondary education.

The Anne Arundel Community College First2College program primarily serves eligible students attending four targeted school clusters in Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Meade and North County public schools, however services may be provided for middle and high school students county-wide.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRST2COLLEGE PROGRAM? 

  •   Individuals between 11-27 years of age 
  •   US citizens and/or permanent residents
  •   First generation college bound students
  •   Students meeting low income guidelines

  WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

  •   Tutorial services
  •   Assistance developing and maintaining an educational plan
  •   Career exploration and aptitude assessment
  •   College campus, career awareness, and cultural field trips
  •   Academic, financial aid, scholarship, career, and personal counseling
  •   Assistance completing college, financial aid and scholarship applications
  •   College entrance exams preparation
  •   Adult Basic Education/GED program referrals
  •   Information on secondary and postsecondary vocational education
  •   After school programs
  •   Summer programs  
  •   Family workshops
