"After coming out of the military, I thought it would be a good idea to go back to college.
I wanted a way to still support my son and gain some more business and management skills for the job market.
I was given a work/study program in the Veterans Resource Center at Anne Arundel Community College. At the time,
I had a 4.0 and was selected to go to the first Community College Summit at the White House. It was an awesome experience.
I was also inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. The night of the ceremony was my son's birthday.
It really brought home the reason I'm doing this.
I'm inspired by taking care of my son. Teaching him motivates me to do better in school."
