Bartending Certification

Become a bartender at a bar, restaurant, hotel or casino and earn an important professional certification.

Job Outlook
According to the Maryland Department of Labor, bartenders' average wage and salary earnings, including tips is more than $9.50 per hour. The U.S. Department of Labor projects demand to increase by 11 percent through the decade ending 2016,which is about as fast as average for all occupations.

Training
AACC's bartending training consists of a single noncredit course HCT 342 - Bartending that includes the fundamentals of mixing drinks, bar preparation, beverage recipies and customer service.

Cost
Approximate cost is $249 for Anne Arundel County residents.

Award
Upon successful completion students recive a continuing education certificate and a professional ServSafe Alcohol certification from the National Restaurant Assocication Education Foundation.

Requirements
You must be 21 years or older to enroll.

How to Enroll
Students new to AACC may register for the noncredit course online, in person, by fax or mail. Returning students may also regsiter by STARS touchtone phone.
