Team Anne Arundel Wins Judge’s Choice at Gumbo Fest 2013

HCAT’s culinary competition team Team Anne Arundel won Judge’s Choice Award at Gumbo Fest 2013, successfully defending its title. The event was held on February 10 at Doubletree Hotel, Annapolis.

Twelve competitors from local restaurants, hotels and caterers entered this year’s competition. About 300 people browsed and sampled various styles of this famous Louisiana dish.

All proceeds from this event go directly to support the operations of the Light House: A Homeless Prevention Support Center. The Light House provides over 80,000 meals annually to families, 6,500 pantry bags, and 36,000 bag lunches to families in need to the local community.
