Pharmacy Technician Continuing Education

These courses are designed to meet the Continuing Education needs of licensed Pharmacy Technicians. Courses approved by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy are noted in the course description. 

PHT 500 - Legal and Ethical Challenges for Pharmacy Technicians
Discuss current trends in managed care that affect pharmacies. Explore the impact of HIPAA on legal issues. Examine the ethical dilemmas that pharmacy technicians encounter and discuss the implications and consequences of illegal and unethical choices. Develop guidelines for maintaining a legal and ethical pharmacy environment. CEUs awarded.

Instructor Eddie Lassey is a licensed pharmacy technician at Laurel Regional Hospital and director of services for Pharmaceutical and Instructional Services, LLC. He teaches at Baltimore City Community College and TESST College of Baltimore. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana and an associate in applied sciences degree from New York City Technical  College in New York. Lassey is entering his third year in Howard University’s School of Pharmacy program.

$85 for Anne Arundel County residents; $90 for out-of-county residents
