Pharmacy Technician Continuing Education

These courses are designed to meet the Continuing Education needs of licensed Pharmacy Technicians. Courses approved by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy are noted in the course description. 

HTH-594 - Explore a Career as a Pharmacy Technician
Learn the skills for an entry-level position as a pharmacy tech or clerk. Discover the steps to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

PHT-500 - Legal and Ethical Challenges for Pharmacy Technicians
Discuss current trends in managed care that affect pharmacies. Explore the impact of HIPAA on legal issues. Examine the ethical dilemmas that pharmacy technicians encounter and discuss the implications and consequences of illegal and unethical choices. Develop guidelines for maintaining a legal and ethical pharmacy environment. CEUs awarded.

$85 for Anne Arundel County residents; $90 for out-of-county residents
