Travel-study courses are appropriate when the setting is directly related to the content of the course and when they provide the student with learning opportunities that are not available on the campus.

A travel-study course is an organized course of study, approved by the college, taught primarily in a remote location by a member of the college faculty who is an expert in the field.  A travel-study course requires the same amount of instructional time, student work, and testing per credit hour as a traditional course.
