Medieval and Renaissance England Travel-Study Itinerary

This is an annual course offered during the two-week winter session in January. The entire course is taught in England. Students live in fully furnished flats (apartments) in London for the two weeks and during that time, study and visit some of the major sites of medieval and renaissance England.

MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE ENGLAND SAMPLE ITINERARY

  • Day 1 Leave BWI
  • Day 2  – Arrive London
    Get coach to our flats
    Get settle getting food supplies etc.
    Set out for London Museum
    Night trip to Westminster
  • Day 3  – Camden Town Flea Market
  • Day 4  – Hyde Park Speakers’ Corner
    Reduced Shakespeare Company Theatre
  • Day 5 – Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
    St. Paul’s Cathedral
  • Day 6 – Tower of London
    London Bridge
  • Day 7 - Stonehenge
    Salisbury Cathedral
  • Day 8  – Windsor Castle
    Hampton Court
  • Day 9 – Canterbury Cathedral
    Dover Castle and WWII buckers
  • Day 10 – Warwick Castle
    Kennilworth Castle
  • Day 11 – FREE DAY
  • Day 12 – Cambridge
    Ely Cathedral 
  • Day 13 – Westminster Abbey
    Buckingham Palace and Whitehall

Cost of trip*:
Approximately: $3000---which includes airfare, room, bus transportation to and from airport, entrance fees to all on itinerary
*Basically price does not include food and drink, subway tickets and tuition

All participants must sign up for HIS 227 “Medieval and Renaissance England”
Deposit of $250 is due with application.
