If you have always enjoyed working with numbers or want to advance your career with basic bookkeeping, this training is for you. Learn the most popular accounting software applications for small- to medium-sized businesses including the essentials of spreadsheets and databases. Starting a home-based business or reentering the workforce? These technology skills are a must.

What is the job outlook?
The average annual salary of bookkeepers and accounting and auditing clerks in Maryland is $39,000, and the field is expected to grow by 10 percent through 2018, which is about average for all occupations.

What is the training?
The training consists of eight, face-to-face noncredit courses that can be completed in as little as eight weeks. Students will learn basic accounting and bookkeeping applications, word processing, and spreadsheet and database management. Total Hours: 54

What credentials can I earn?
Upon successful completion of all eight courses, students earn an AACC continuing education certificate. To receive the certificate students complete and submit the form to our office. The form and instructions can be found at www.aacc.edu/coned/certificates

$964 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fees

What are the requirements? 
Students must be at least 16 years old. Individual courses have some prerequisites.
