Nancy Anselm is a thirty-year teaching veteran of the seven and under set. She is the Educational Director of Montessori International Children’s House in Annapolis, as well as the instructor for their toddler program. In addition, she is a licensed Kindermusik instructor and an instructor at the Child Care Training Institute at AACC. Nancy received a bachelor’s in psychology from Syracuse University, as well as a M.Ed. from Cleveland State University. She is married and has a daughter and two sons.

Tony Baker had a 10-year business career prior to a six-year teaching career. He started teaching in the Boston and Fall River, Massachusetts school systems as a middle and high school business and technology teacher and business club advisor. He is a business professor at AACC and started and facilitates a middle school–college business education partnership program with Annapolis Middle School.

Jason Barbour is a physical science professor at AACC. He has degrees in chemical, mechanical and environmental engineering. He enjoys playing with and learning from toys. Jason also likes exploring the beautiful planet on which we live, however, what he enjoys most is spending time with his wife and two wonderful daughters.

Mary Blaha holds an Advanced Professional Certificate from Maryland State Department of Education and has experience teaching in both public and private schools, recently as a kindergarten teacher. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in reading and certification through grade 12. She has taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Samantha Boyd graduated from Baltimore School for the Arts in 2004 and now attends the Minneapolis College of Art and Design studying for a degree in comic art. She has taught the Kids in College course on anime since 2005 and enjoys helping her students’ progress. She also likes watching anime with her two kittens. 

Christina Brooks is a forensic anthropologist serving the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area. She provides forensic consultation to medical examiner's offices, coroner's offices and local law enforcement agencies. She received her undergraduate degree from Howard University in biological anthropology with a minor in chemistry and a graduate degree from the University of Tennessee in forensic anthropology. In addition to being the director of Forensics 101, Christina is an adjunct professor at Rowan Cabarrus Community College. 

Amy Brunner grew up in Maryland. She received her B.F.A. in dance from Towson University then furthered her training and performed professionally in New York City. Amy has her own dance studio in Millersville, the SPARK Center for Creative and Performing Arts. She teaches dance for ages two through adults from beginner to pre-professional. Amy enjoys teaching the Dancing on Broadway Summer Camp at AACC. She looks forward each summer to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. 

Ms. Heather Butera is a science instructor specializing in grades three to five at the Spaceflight Institute™. She is attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Erica Cornish, a business major at AACC, is planning to start her own catering business. Her passions are dancing and helping others, especially through teaching. She is a people person, who is outgoing, patient, self-motivated and energetic. Erica has been teaching for Kids in College for one year, “and the children are awesome!”
