Preparing your employees for Lean!A three-day Lean Associate Certificate program. This program is designed to provide a minimum understanding of the Lean methodology to create a culture that is poised for a world-class journey. Participants will understand the key role they will play in their organization, the importance of a team approach and the basic problem solving techniques. This certificate is the essential baseline knowledge needed to prepare an individual to work in a team-based organization.
Lean Associate Certificate includes the following course content:
- Overview of Lean - 1 day
This session defines Lean, the seven forms of waste, the difference between value added and non-value added work, introduces the Lean tools and their applications.
- Team Building - 1 day
This session defines what a team is, the benefits of teams, the types of teams, stages teams go through, participant's team player style and the use of common team decision-making tools.
- Problem-Solving Tools - 1 day
This session gives participants familiarization with Root Cause Analysis, Process Flowcharting, Pareto Charts, Fishbone Diagrams, Histograms, Scatter Diagrams, Control Charts and Process Capability Studies.
Upon completion of the Lean Associate training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the rationale for the use of Lean methodology
- Effectively participate in Kaizen events under the direction of a Lean Master Facilitator
- Function in a problem-solving team environment
- Apply the Lean Associate Certificate training directly to the Lean Lead Certificate training and the Lean Master Facilitator Certification
