Truxal Library - For Distance Learners

The Library offers a variety of resources and services to students who are taking classes online or at another location. This page describes many of the services that are available to our off-campus students.  Watch this video to see how to use the Library from off-campus.   (If you use an iPhone or iPad, or want captions, you may prefer to view the YouTube version.)  

Find books and other materials in the Library Catalog:

  • Electronic books you can read on your computer
  • Books, audio-visual materials, journals and magazines

Find information in the Library Databases Subject List or A-Z List (Note: You must have an AACC Library Card or Student ID to access articles from off-campus)

  • Magazines, journals, newspapers
  • Electronic books
  • Reference books
  • Audio and video

Apply for a Library Card: 

  • STUDENT APPLICATION: Only AACC students taking online classes or courses not held on the Arnold campus may apply online. All others must come to the Library.
  • FACULTY & STAFF APPLICATION: Faculty and staff who work or teach at a location other than the Arnold campus (including online) may also apply for a library card online.

Request Delivery of a Truxal Library Book to:

  • Glen Burnie Town Center (College Services Counter, 2nd floor)
  • HCAT
  • Fort Meade's Army Education Center
  • Other (contact Distance Learning Librarian at or 410-777-2216)

Request Items our Library Does Not Own (Interlibrary Loan):

  • Books from other libraries
  • Copies of articles from other libraries
