The college opened in temporary quarters at Severna Park High School in September of 1961. It moved to its Arnold campus in September 1967. The 230-acre Arnold campus includes eight academic buildings, a gymnasium,
pool, student services center, student union, astronomy building, 440-seat performing arts center, library, two art galleries and 3,000-seat athletic field. Over the years, the college added additional facilities in strategic locations throughout the county including the Fort Meade Army Education Center, Glen Burnie Town Center and Arundel Mills. Classes are offered in myriad locations throughout the county.
