For Graduates of the Baltimore School of Massage

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) has an articulation agreement with the Baltimore School of Massage (BSM). BSM graduates who have passed the NCETMB exam may apply that training toward an Associates Degree in Therapeutic Massage from AACC.

Upon successfully completing the 500-clock hours program at the Baltimore School of Massage and passing the NCETMB, 20 credits hours will be granted by AACC toward an A.A.S. in Therapeutic Massage.  Student enrolling in AACC must complete an additional 41 credit hours as outlined in this agreement. A minimum of 30 credits must be taken at AACC.

Upon successfully completing the 637-clock hours program at the Baltimore School of Massage and passing the NCETMB, 23 credits hours will be granted by AACC toward an A.A.S. in Therapeutic Massage. Students enrolling in AACC must complete an additional 38 credit hours as outlined in this agreement. A minimum of 30 credits must be taken at AACC.

Students who wish to enroll in the Therapeutic Massage Degree Program at AACC must complete a college application at the Admissions Office.

Students must arrange to have the following materials sent to the Records Office at AACC as soon as possible, after submitting a college application:

  • Official high school transcript or GED certificate if applicable.
  • Official college transcripts from all colleges and universities the student has previously attended.
  • Official transcript from the Baltimore School of Massage
  • Official documentation demonstrating passage of the NCBTMB or copy of current NCBTMB Certification.

Students must demonstrate their level of proficiency in English, reading, and mathematics. This can be done by way of AACC’s assessment test taken through the college’s testing office, through ACT, SAT, AP or CLEP test results, or by satisfactory completion of appropriate college-level English at other regionally accredited colleges and universities.
