Science Night at AACC is Nov. 7

Prepare to see amazing feats before your very eyes. Is it magic? Not really. It’s science! Anne Arundel Community College science faculty members Jason Barbour and Greg Schrader will show you how at AACC’s annual Science Night, which boasts not only a science show but interactive demonstrations as well.

The public can choose from two identical performances, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. or 7 to 8 p.m., both in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts, 101 College Parkway in Arnold. Downstairs, the Student Union Dining Hall will be filled with demonstrations and hands-on activities from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Past events have included:

  • Making flubber.
  • Creating elephant toothpaste.
  • Laying on a bed of nails.
  • Seeing red cabbage pH indicators.
  • Pulling a tablecloth from a table that’s set with dishes.

Reservations are not required and this event is free and open to the community.
