AACC Sets Ceremony, Discounts to Honor Military

Anne Arundel Community College is showing its appreciation to the military by celebrating Nov. 8-12 as “Veterans Appreciation Week.”

AACC President Martha A. Smith, Ph.D., will lead a brief ceremony honoring the nation’s military at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the pedestrian plaza bordered by the Student Union, Student Services Center and the Administration Building on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

In addition, the college is mailing a 15 percent discount coupon for the College Store and a coupon for a free snack from selected items at the dining hall to all current AACC students who are veterans, retirees, active duty military or members of reserve units. Faculty and staff who are veterans, retirees, active duty or reserve military can pick up coupons during the week at the Student Financial Services office, Student Services Center Room 160.

The store discount can be used on all items except textbooks, software or scientific calculators. It cannot be combined with other discounts.
