College Fair Brings 150 College Reps to AACC

Education

Find out about more than 150 colleges and universities by traveling to just one spot – the annual College Fair from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold.

The free fair, co-sponsored by AACC and Anne Arundel County Public Schools, helps students explore higher education options, gather data, visit with representatives and compare opportunities at one time.

Representatives from two- and four-year colleges and universities come armed with handouts, curriculum information and answers to typical questions. Check out unfamiliar colleges. Talk face-to-face with representatives of familiar ones. Students, their families and friends can get help with specific questions and decision-making. The fair makes it easy to take that first step in sorting out which college is a good match for your goals.

All colleges in the state are expected to attend, and many from the mid-Atlantic region also will be on hand, such as Pennsylvania State University, Radford University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Virginia Military Institute, Washington and Lee University, West Virginia University and York College of Pennsylvania.

Other institutions hail from quite a distance, such as Alabama A&M University, Florida Institute of Technology, Hawaii Pacific University, Johnson & Wales, North Carolina State University, The Ohio State University, University of Hawaii and Vassar.

Parking is free. Call 410-777-2246 for information. Call disability support services, 410-777-2307 or Maryland Relay 711, at least 72 hours in advance to request special accommodations.
