Register Now for Booths, Plan to Attend Fall Job Fair

Expand your workforce or search for a new career by attending the Anne Arundel County Fall Job Fair at Anne Arundel Community College.

More than 1,500 job seekers and 75 businesses and government agencies are expected to attend the fair from noon-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in the David S. Jenkins Gymnasium on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

A free seminar for job seekers at 11 a.m. in Careers Center Room 217 covers effective job interviewing tactics and job fair networking.

The private employers and government agencies expected to attend include those offering entry-level positions as well as mid- and senior-level jobs. The payment deadline for booth reservations is Friday, Sept. 29. The $250 registration fee includes all advertising, an exhibit booth with a six-foot table, two chairs, a directory listing and lunch for two company representatives.

Event co-sponsor Anne Arundel Community College is helping job seekers prepare for the event with workshops on "Resume Basics" Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m., all in Student Services Center Room 224. Other job fair co-sponsors are the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation; Anne Arundel One-Stop Career Center; Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation/Division of Workforce Development; Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services; Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce; Anne Arundel County branch of the NAACP; Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce; Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and the Division of Rehabilitation Services.
