Let AACC Help You Learn Pool, Spa Operations

Would you like to have the knowledge and skills needed to be a pool and spa operator? Anne Arundel Community College’s four-session, noncredit class will prepare you to take the certification exam and seek work in this field.
Topics in “Pool/Spa Operation” (ATH 393) include regulations, maintenance, filter systems, chemicals, regulations and forms. Continuing Education Units are awarded. The class costs $120, which includes $10 for supplies and lab fees.
Two, four-session sections meet this summer. The first is from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, June 11 to 14, on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. The second session is from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, June 19 through 22, at AACC at Arundel Mills.
A “Pool and Spa Operation Refresher” (AHC 311) class also is on tap this summer from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, June 22, at AACC at Arundel Mills. Pool and spa operators will learn up-to-date information for the healthy and safe operation of pools and spas, health department policies and procedures and more. CEUs are awarded in this $75 class.
Costs listed are for county residents; there is an additional charge of $5 per noncredit course for residents of other counties and a $10 per noncredit course charge for out-of-state residents.

Registration is under way. Current and returning students can register using the Internet at MyAACC or the STARS touch-tone phone system at 410-777-2241 from 5 a.m. to midnight daily. New students or those without access to the Internet can sign up by mail, fax or in person at the Arnold campus, AACC at Arundel Mills, AACC at the Glen Burnie Town Center or the Fort Meade Army Education Center.
