The eight other faculty marshals selected to lead their colleagues to the ceremony received teaching excellence honors at the 29th annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence sponsored by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development. They were Lyndele C. Bernard of Chester, associate professor of nursing; Steven B. Canaday, Ph.D., of Severna Park, assistant professor of English; Patricia A. Gregory of Davidsonville, professor of computer science; Catherine A. Hess of Arnold, professor of mathematics; Brenda L. Hurbanis, Ed.D., of Ellicott City, assistant professor and chair of teacher education; Susanne R. Markowski of Columbia, associate professor of computer information systems; Richard A. Niewerth of Severna Park, professor of visual arts; and Beth A. Potter of New Freedom, Pa., associate professor of human services.

            The ceremony will be rebroadcast in Anne Arundel County on cable TV Channel 95 on Comcast and Millennium Digital Media and via Channel 35 on Verizon. Check these cable channels for upcoming air times.
