At AACC, SASP works to provide programs and services for students who are the first in their families to attend college, who need to build a foundation for success in college-level classes and who need to learn to use college and community resources to meet their academic goals.
SASP awards scholarships twice a year to help participants achieve their educational goals by encouraging and rewarding student persistence, achievement and success. SASP participants receive an individual education plan, written or verbal progress reports and access to all academic support services. Students must attend weekly study groups and review sessions and work with a peer tutor or mentor.
