Three Anne Arundel Community College students recently received scholarships totaling $4,500 to continue their health professions studies.

            Kala Scoggin of Huntington was awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the Sharon's Way Benevolent Fund established last year by the Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation in Prince Frederick, Md. She is president of the Physician Assistant Class of 2008.

            AACC Nursing students Amy Brzozowski of Glen Burnie and Jessica Jones of Odenton were among 18 students who received $1,000 Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation scholarships. The scholarship was created by an endowment from the Calvert-Arundel Medical Center.
