Eight at AACC Win National Teaching Awards

Eight faculty members at Anne Arundel Community College will receive teaching excellence awards at the 31st annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence May 24-27 in Austin, Texas.
The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) will present the AACC faculty members and other NISOD winners with medallions during the awards ceremony at its annual conference. Recipients are selected for outstanding service and teaching excellence.
The AACC recipients are: Joan B. Doolittle of Stevensville, professor of psychology; Krysten B. Hall of Catonsville, associate professor of computer technologies; Sridharan S. Iyengar of Severn, Ph.D., professor of chemistry; Martha L. Linksz of Arnold, professor of business administration; Marion F. Schilder of Annapolis, associate professor of nursing; Brandi R. Shepard of Pasadena, instructor of architecture and interior design; Kasia J. Taylor of Severna Park, assistant professor of computer technologies; and Jill Voran of Annapolis, D.A., professor of communications.
Founded in 1978, NISOD members include more than 700 community colleges worldwide. NISOD is part of the Community College Leadership Program at the University of Texas in Austin.
