AACC Accepted into Maryland Green Registry

Nov. 13, 2009

Awards/Honors

Anne Arundel Community College in November was accepted into the Maryland Green Registry, which represents more than 100 public and private organizations, agencies and nonprofit groups working toward a sustainable Maryland.

This voluntary self-certification program shares online detailed examples of approved applicants’ environmental successes, green tips and resources. AACC will receive information on upcoming green Webinars and conferences and be eligible for annual governor’s awards.

“We appreciate all the steps Anne Arundel Community College has taken to reduce its impact on the environment and the college’s willingness to share them with others,” said Laura Armstrong, Maryland Green Registry Coordinator, Maryland Department of the Environment.

The AACC registry profile is available online.
