A comic, fast-paced attempt to cover all of U.S. history in under two hours comes to Anne Arundel Community College Feb. 12-21, thanks to The Theatre at AACC.

Ticket sales are under way for The Theatre at AACC’s performances of “The Complete History of America (abridged)” at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 and at 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 14 and 21. All performances are in Humanities Building Room 112 on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

Written by Adam Long, Reed Martin, and Austin Tichenor, AACC’s production is directed by Lars Tatom, assistant professor of performing arts and coordinator of The Theatre at AACC. “The Complete History of America (abridged)” follows three actors as they use vaudeville sketches, word-association games, puns and parodies to playfully spoof U.S. history. The cast consists of Rob Berry, assistant professor of performing arts, and student actors Claire Brooks of Annapolis and Vincent Capuano of Crofton.

Tickets are $15 general admission; $10 for seniors, groups, AACC employees and students other than AACC students; and $5 for AACC students with student ID. The production is suitable for ages 12 and up. Tickets are available from the AACC Box office at 410-777-2457, by email at boxoffice@aacc.edu, or in person. The box office is in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts on the Arnold campus.

For information about the production contact Lars Tatom at 410-777-7125.
