Still Time to Register for New Dental Assisting Class

      Dental assistants can still register for a new advanced training class, “Expanded Functions: Chairside and Orthodontics” (OCA 389), that begins at Anne Arundel Community College on Tuesday, March 2.

      The 6:30-8:30 p.m. noncredit, continuing education class meets on the Arnold campus Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 27. Those who successfully complete this course are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Maryland Expanded Functions General Chairside, Expanded Functions Orthodontic, Infection Control and Certified Dental Assistant examinations. To enroll, students must have a current DANB Radiology Safety Certification and a minimum of 200 hours of work experience in a dental office.
