Thinking about becoming a teacher? Attend Anne Arundel Community College’s free Teacher Education Fair from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, on the Arnold campus.
This event in the Center for Applied Learning and Technology Room 100 offers information about teacher education in Maryland, transfer student information, the AACC Student Education Association, the job application process, Praxis test information and teacher certification processes. Attend one or all four information sessions:
3:15-4 p.m. Teacher certification process and Anne Arundel County Public Schools’
4:10-4:45 p.m. Financial aid and scholarship information
4:45-5:30 p.m. Teacher panel presentation
5:30-6 p.m. Career pathways in education
The fair is for college students already majoring in education, county high school students interested in becoming teachers, substitute teachers and career changers who may already have a degree but would like to become certified to teach in Maryland.
Meet education representatives from schools including AACC, Bowie State University, the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, McDaniel College, Morgan State University, Salisbury University, Stevenson University, Towson University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Washington Adventist University and Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
