Statement Regarding Morning Incident at GBTC & Arnold

June 22, 2011

This morning, Anne Arundel Community College’s public safety department received a bomb threat at the Henry L. Dragun Science Building and Glen Burnie Town Center. Safety is of the utmost importance. We followed standard protocols and immediately evacuated both buildings and called county police. They responded with the fire department which is standard protocol. They did a scan of the buildings with the bomb squad and gave us the “all clear.” No one was hurt.

Again, safety is our top priority. We work closely with county police with whom we have a great relationship. We followed the college’s standard protocols and we immediately alerted students and employees.

Thank you to our public safety department for taking swift and immediate action, and to the college community for your cooperation.
