Still Time to Enroll in Kids in College Summer Camps
Help your teens, tweens and young children beat the end-of-summer blues; sign them up for one or more of Anne Arundel Community College’s August Kids in College summer camps.
Spaces still remain in about a dozen half-day and full day camps running Aug. 1-5 and in three camps running Aug. 8-12.
Camps running Aug. 1-5 that have openings are: “Japanese 1” (YOH 857), grades 7-11, 1-4 p.m.; “Polar Animals” (KDS 845), kindergarteners, 9 a.m.–noon; “Summertime Fun” (YEP 804), grades 1-3, 1-4 p.m.; “Fiber Arts,” grades 3-5, 9 a.m.-noon; “Spaceflight Institute: Space Adventure,” grades 5-8, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; and “Chef’s Challenge – Advanced” (YOT 884), grades 6-9, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
For grades 4-6, Other camps with openings that week for students who completed grades 4-6 are “Elementary Engineering” (KDS 863), 9 a.m.-noon; “Lego Math” (YEP 820), 9 a.m.-noon; “Hot Shot Photo Club” (YEP 803, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; “How it Works: Computer RX” (YEP 818), 1-4 p.m. and “Anime 2” (YUT 846), 1-4 p.m.
Other open camps are “Circus Camp,” offered Aug. 1-5 for grades 5-8 and Aug. 8-12 for grades 2-4 and grades 4-8; and “Video Game Animation” Aug. 8-12, grades 4-6.
