Explore the mysteries of many Muslim cultures and the role of Muslim women on Saturday, Oct. 22, as a trio of organizations offers a free half-day event with professional presentations, discussions and cultural immersion through art, food, music and fashion.
“Unveiling the Mystique of the Muslim Woman” takes place from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Robert E. Kauffman Theater at Anne Arundel Community College on the Arnold campus. Leading the presentations are:
Imam Yahya Hendi, Muslim chaplain at Georgetown University, founder and president of Clergy Beyond Borders
Ermin Sinanovic, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Political Science, U.S. Naval Academy
Norbani Ismail, Ph.D., assistant professor, International Islamic University, Malaysia
Salwa A. Elgebaly, Ph.D., founder of Nour Heart Inc. and U.S. Naval Academy instructor , Department of Languages and Cultures
