Increases Numbers of Credit Classes, Offers 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 6-Week Classes
Anne Arundel Community College has revamped its winter session format this season by adding two dozen classes to a roster of now more than 75 offerings, expanding the number of sessions offered in existing classes and supplementing its traditional two-week January session.
In the months since the fall credit schedule was printed, AACC analyzed its traditional winter offerings in light of increasing student demand for more introductory-level courses and more flexible formats. The college has added the new classes, increased the number of sections in existing classes by another two dozen to allow more students to complete basic required courses and changed class formats to span one, two, three, four and six weeks running from December through late January.
A list of the expanded winter offerings is online at www.aacc.edu/recreg and will be included in the spring credit schedule of classes. Among the new classes, for example, are “Mathematics for Health Professions” (AHT 101), “eMarketing” (BPA 127) and “Elementary Statistics” (MAT 135). Additional sections were added to in-demand classes such as “Introduction to Sociology” (SOC 111), “Introduction to Psychology” (PSY 111) and “Personal and Community Health” (HEA 111).
Registration is under way in person, online and by phone. For information, call 410-777-AACC (2222) or visit www.aacc.edu/recreg.
