AACC Art Exhibit Seeks Community Entries

Release 12-253 / June 12, 2012

Submit Artworks For All-Media Show By July 11

All artists in the community are invited to bring up to two pieces of art for display in “Heliotrope Bouquet 14,” an open, all-media exhibit July 13-Aug. 13 at the Anne Arundel Community College Cade Center for Fine Arts Gallery.

There is no juror for this show and no entry fee. All work entered is displayed. “Heliotrope Bouquet” is a cool summer treat for local artists, said Chris Mona, gallery coordinator and an AACC professor of visual arts.

Bring ready-to-display pieces of art not previously exhibited at the gallery. Drop off the artwork at the gallery from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, or Wednesday, July 11. Artwork may be matted and framed, or not. Unmatted work will be pinned to the wall. The gallery will provide pedestals for 3-D pieces.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. For information and an artwork entry form, visit Forms also are available in the gallery when artwork is dropped off. All artwork must be picked up between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 14-16. The gallery at the Arnold campus is at 101 College Parkway.
