Peer Learning Partnership Donates $25,000 to AACC Foundation
The Peer Learning Partnership (PLP) at Anne Arundel Community College has presented the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation with a donation of $25,000 to establish the Peer Learning Partnership Endowment Fund.
Working with the foundation, the PLP donated the funds in order to promote the educational mission of the group and to express its appreciation for the college’s support. The endowed fund will support scholarships for students with financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.0 with preference given to those who are at least 40 years old; pursuing career training; seeking a degree or certificate; registered for six or more credits each semester; or registered for a noncredit continuing education program devoted to occupation skills, technology or continuing professional education.
The PLP is a community of peers providing opportunities for intellectual development, cultural appreciation, personal growth and social interaction in an academic setting.
“As a group interested in educational outlets, this endowment is the perfect pairing for us,” said Maggie Brinsley of Severna Park, PLP co-founder and member.
