Auditions for the Theatre at AACC’s production of “The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)” will take place at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 19 and 20, in the Humanities Building Room 112 on Anne Arundel Community College’s Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.
Auditions are open to the community and people can audition on either Nov. 19 or Nov. 20. The play has roles for three actors of either gender, ages 18 to 35. They will be asked to read from the script. Actors need to possess strong comic timing and the ability to improvise and ad-lib.
“The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)” is a tongue-in-cheek farce by Adam Long, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor that looks at the Bible and our historical take on it throughout the ages. The play will be directed by Lars Tatom, Ph.D., AACC associate professor of performing arts and theater coordinator. Rehearsals will start in early December, take a break for the winter holidays and start up again in mid-January. The comedy will be performed Feb. 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. in Humanities Building Room 112.
